Sarah Ferguson has reportedly been urged to write a tell-all memoir by one unlikely person, an insider has said. Over the last few months, the former Duchess of York has been involved in many scandals surrounding her past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Through the release of the Epstein files, emails show that the former duchess kept in touch with Epstein after he was first sentenced for child sex offences. In one email, Sarah even referred to him as a “legend” and like a “brother”.
It is believed Priscilla opened her home to Sarah as a return gesture for when the former duchess was friends with her late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and helped her during her addiction struggles.
As well as opening her home to Sarah, Priscilla is also reportedly encouraging Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-wife to write her own memoir rather than “stay quiet”.
The source said: “Priscilla won’t ever forget how kind Sarah was to Lisa Marie when she was deep in her addiction struggles, so now that Sarah needs help, she’s happy to be able to offer her some support.”
The source continued: “She has a lot of sympathy for her and is insisting that she’ll get through this.
“Priscilla got a huge amount of relief from writing her own memoir, and she’s urging Sarah to do the same. She sees no reason she should stay quiet.”
It is believed Sarah will continue to keep a low profile for some time.
