While one of the emails saw Sarah tell Epstein he was like a “brother” to her, another in 2010 showed her invite the late paedophile to her ex husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s 50th birthday party at St. James’s Palace. It is believed Epstein couldn’t attend.
It has been reported that the invite and emails were sent to Epstein after he was released from prison in July 2009 for soliciting prostitution of a minor, as reported by The Daily Mail.
Although the email inviting Epstein to Andrew’s party may not be sensational in itself, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes that it acts as a stark reminder of the fact the late paedophile was invited and visited royal residences throughout his friendship with Andrew and his ex wife.
Richard Fitzwilliams told The Express: “The invitation from Sarah Ferguson to celebrate Andrew’s 50th at St James’s Palace reminds us of the way Epstein and the now convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell were asked to or visited royal residences and palaces.
“Buckingham Palace, Sandringham, Balmoral and Windsor Castle are mentioned, but it’s not confirmed that all the visits took place.
“These invitations were obviously intended to attract Epstein and Maxwell.”
Sarah Ferguson’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was friends with Epstein, has also always denied any wrongdoing or accusations.
Appearing in the Epstein files is not a sign of wrongdoing.
