Savannah Guthrie has sparked concerns amongst her friends after her latest emotional video appeal for the safe return of her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.
Savannah shared a teary-eyed plea on Instagram on Sunday, February 15, as she again begged for Nancy, 84, to come home. No,w a friend of the Today show anchor has admitted finding the clip “profoundly disturbing.” A source said, “She looks devastated. She looks like she’s struggling. She can’t be doing well.”
The insider continued, “Anyone who knows her is obviously so worried about her.” Meanwhile, a second friend told Page Six, “it looked like the light had gone out of her eyes” after the latest social media upload.
Savannah, 54, pleaded with Nancy’s suspected abductor while insisting on the “essential goodness of every human being.” She said, “I wanted to say to whoever has her, or who knows where she is, that it’s never too late. And you’re not lost, or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing.”
Savannah’s colleagues shared their support for her in the comments section, with Hoda Kotb writing, “We believe,” adding praying hands and a love heart emojis, while Morgan Radford added, “We are all with you, Savannah.”

Meanwhile, investigators are hoping that DNA that was recently recovered from a glove found two miles from Nancy’s home and believed to belong to the suspect in her kidnapping could lead to a break in the case. The DNA is currently being run through the FBI’s CODIS database, looking for a match, hoping that something comes up that will provide new leads.
Nancy vanished from her home in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of February 1. She had been to dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, at their home nearby. Nancy was last seen around 9:48 pm on Saturday, January 31, when she was dropped off at home by family who said she entered the property via her garage door.
Her doorbell camera was found to have disconnected at 1:47 am on February 1. At 2:12 am, the camera detected movement, which the FBI was investigating since providing images of a subject of interest tampering with the device. They were seen on the camera wearing a mask with what appeared to be a gun holstered to their belt.
By 2:28 am, Nancy’s pacemaker disconnected from her Apple watch, indicating it was no longer in range. Blood spatter found on her porch was then confirmed to be Nancy’s.
