Scream franchise star Neve Campbell has many fans, and Prince Harry is one of them.
The 52-year-old actress confessed during her recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross show that the 41-year-old royal had told her that he once had a poster of her on his wall. Although the Hollywood veteran, who skyrocketed to fame in the 199s, was flattered, she admitted that Harry’s revelation was “a little awkward” on the program that aired Saturday.
“I went to a friend’s birthday party and someone said, ‘There’s Harry,'” the Craft star said. “We did have a chat. He told me that he had a poster of me on his wall when he was a child.”
She added, “That’s a little awkward. I don’t know if that was a line. It could have been a line. We had a dance, we had a nice time. We didn’t exchange numbers or anything.”
Neve, who’s most known for her starring role as Sidney Prescott in the Scream installments, also divulged that after that, she later ran into Harry at a charity event, where he spoke about his grandma, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“[Harry] was really lovely,” she expressed.“He started talking about his grandmother and we were chatting and then I realised who he was talking about and it was very odd.”
During her time on the Jonathan Ross Show, Neve also spoke about her latest movie, Scream 7, noting how the first movie in the decades-long franchise was released 30 years ago.
“It was in 1996, 30 years ago,” Neve stated. “They won’t let anyone see it (Scream 7) until the actual day. It’s great. It’s really good.
She continued, “When they came to me about this one, they said they wanted to come back to Sidney Prescott and see where she is at in this journey in her life.”
Neve further shared that in the new Scream, her character, Sidney, is now a mother fighting to keep not only herself safe but also her daughter.
“She’s a mother, a teen daughter. It’s been very brave of her to decide to have a family considering what happens to most of the people in her life,” she dished.
Neve then noted that, “[Sidney’s] worst nightmare is that Ghostface would come and harm her family and, of course, it’s a Scream movie so that’s exactly what happens. Isabel May, who plays my daughter, is fantastic.”
