Before a packed Alamodome show, R&B star Chris Brown fueled up with wings from a popular San Antonio spot – and it has fans of the restaurant asking for the “Chris Brown Sampler.”
According to a Facebook post from Wayne’s Wings, which has locations on Culebra Road, Walzem Road and Bandera Road, the singer picked up wings in flavors like lemon pepper (one order with buffalo sauce on top and another with the signature Texas honey bee sauce), buffalo, curry, Duke (jerk seasoning, mustard, barbecue and lemon pepper) and Godfather (Alfredo sauce and parmesan). He also ordered four sodas and eight containers each of ranch, blue cheese and Roxy sauce (mustard and ranch).
Wayne’s Wings is a solid choice for dining in the Alamo City. In 2025, MySA readers gave it a second-place ranking for San Antonio’s best buffalo wings. Fans of the restaurant reacted to the news by asking Wayne’s Wings to “create the Chris Brown sampler.” Another commenter on Facebook said the buzz created by Brown’s visit made them “drive from Cibolo for Honey BBQ wings.”

All in all, the to-go order from the Walzem Road location totaled $161.61 for 44 flat wings, as well as the sauces and drinks. On Instagram, the restaurant posted a “Super Huge Shout Out to the King of R & B ‘ @chrisbrownofficial ‘ for Choosing @wayneswingss for his lunch today,” later adding, “Wayne’s Wings is Extremely Grateful !!! and We Hope You Enjoyed.”
The singer performed at the Alamodome on Saturday, September 27, for one of the last stops on the Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour. Brown brought along supporting acts Jhené Aiko and Bryson Tiller for his first appearance in the Alamo City since 2019’s Indigoat tour, performing throwback hits and new tracks alike.
MySA reached out to Wayne’s Wings for additional comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
