Selena Gomez is getting dragged after it was pointed out that her wedding dress is basically identical to the one worn by Justin Bieber’s ex, Sofia Richie Grainge.
This comes as Selena married her partner of two years, Benny Blanco, in a lavish Montecito ceremony. The pair were wed in front of more than 100 guests, including friends and loved ones such as Taylor Swift, Steve Martin, and Martin Short.
Selena wore three dresses during the event, two halterneck gowns by Ralph Lauren, one made of satin, and the other adorned with lace. She also wore a different dress during her reception, which was vintage-inspired with a sweetheart neckline.
However, her second dress has set tongues wagging because it resembles Sofia’s gown, which she wore when she married music executive Elliot Grainge in 2023.
Sofia, just like Selena, previously dated Justin Bieber; however, for a significantly shorter period of time, as they were only linked in 2016, compared to the eight-year on-and-off relationship the two singers had.
A third person also penned, “Byeee,” next to an image of the women side by side.
In 2016, Sofia and Selena were said to have had drama on social media while the former was dating Justin Bieber.
After Justin threatened to leave Instagram due to the backlash from fans over his new girlfriend, Selena simply wrote, “If you can’t handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol. It should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”
However, any feud seems to have been long quashed, and neither of the pair has spoken about each other publicly since.
