Serena Williams served her latest high-profile fashion moment in a look by Marc Jacobs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2026 Met Gala on Monday night in New York City.

Featuring a contemporary variation on Grecian design, Williams wore a custom silver lamé draped gown adorned with gold leaf accents with shoes crafted in gold Italian leather. The dress included a wrap-around, one-shoulder element with a keyhole opening and formfitting bodice creating a cinched waist. Slightly exaggerated hips also lent a further dynamic detail to the overall look.
The decorated former tennis pro’s look featured even more Grecian style inspo with an asymmetrical skirt with pleating and flowing bands of fabric. Williams accessorized her look with jewelry pieces by David Yurman. Kesha McLeod curated Williams’s look.

Williams is a longtime attendee of the Met Gala, with her first appearance dating back to 2004, where the Wyn Beauty founder wore a purple gown to the event.
In the several years and appearances since her inaugural walk up the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art steps, Williams has worn designs by Oscar de la Renta, Gucci and Versace, among others.

One of Williams’ most noteworthy looks came in 2017, when the athlete debuted her baby bump at the Met Gala, wearing an emerald green Versace gown with a plunging neckline and a bevy of floral embroidered detailing throughout.
