Seth Meyers‘ dog, Frisbee, recently passed away, and in a recent interview, comedian and actor Andy Samberg commented on his infamous longtime enemy.
What did Andy Samberg say about Seth Meyers’ dog?
During a recent interview with SNL alum Kate McKinnon for Entertainment Tonight, McKinnon asked Samberg for his final words on Meyers’ dog dying. Infamously, Samberg has had a longtime playful hatred of the dog, who passed away a week ago at the age of 14. To his credit, he didn’t lay off on the jokes.
“I didn’t kill Frisbee,” Samberg said when asked about his thoughts. “Much as that would’ve delighted me.” When asked about his “beef” with Frisbee, Samberg joked that it was just the dog’s “general appearance and vibe, and essence.”
Samberg then said that he never wants to be someone who is “mucking up” the death of an animal, but did admit that “in this instance, it was inarguably pretty funny. Sick burn on Seth and he deserves nothing but pain. Just a bad person.”
Samberg’s history with Meyers’ dog is a long one. The pair have often discussed Samberg’s playful dislike of the dog before, with Samberg taking shots at Frisbee every chance he got. As for Meyers, he’s incredibly fine with Samberg’s long-running bit. The late-night show host even acknowledged that Frisbee also hated Samberg.
