The president also recently advised POLITICO’s Dasha Burns to not “be dramatic” when she asked him about people planning their budgets for next year as they buy presents this holiday season.
“Is this messy bitch telling us not to be dramatic?” Meyers said.
He later continued, “Also, you’re snapping at people to stop being so dramatic about not being able to afford Christmas gifts. I think Trump only watched the first few minutes of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and thought, ‘This Scrooge guy seems to have life all figured out!’”
Meyers tied Trump’s defensive behavior to his “unhinged” primetime address on Wednesday, a speech where the president repeated an “absurd” lie that drug costs are up to 600% lower.
The comedian swiftly checked Trump.
“600% would mean you’re paying people to take drugs, which, if it were real, would probably be the first popular thing you actually did,” began Meyers before launching into a fictional dialogue between two Americans.
″‘This dude is nuts.’ ‘Yeah, but at least they’re paying us to take Prozac so you know, c’est la vie!’”
