Sharon Stone has revealed what it’s really like to live next door to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced intense scrutiny after former staff members came forward with “distressing” accusations against the couple.
A bombshell exposé alleged earlier this year that Meghan, 43, had treated employees poorly when situations didn’t unfold according to her wishes.
An insider recently suggested that Meghan and Harry, 40, “don’t know what change the world means” following the axing of their Spotify podcast series, Archetypes.
To commemorate the fifth anniversary of their departure from senior Royal duties, Vanity Fair published a scathing piece featuring testimonies from individuals who worked closely with the California-based Royal pair.
The article also alleged that Meghan could be “really, really awful” towards household staff members, despite initially appearing “warm and effusive” when she first joined the Royal Family.
However, as situations worsened, the former Suits star reportedly became “cold and withholding toward the person she perceived to be responsible” when problems arose.
An insider suggested that circumstances frequently “went poorly, often due to Meghan and Harry’s own demands.”
Sources revealed to The Times that Meghan and Harry consider the accusations “distressing.”
Yet remarks from Sharon Stone have reemerged five years after they chose to relocate to America for a more financially independent life.
Speaking in 2020, Sharon commented: “The thing about them, which is so great, is that they didn’t come here to live off of our community, they came here to be a part of our community.
“They’re a part of our community, they become a part, a giving, caring, participating part of our community. They’re not here, like ‘Would you like to kiss my butt?'”.
The Vanity Fair piece described Prince Harry as a “hapless if well-meaning man” who allegedly contemplated interviewing sociopaths, including Vladimir Putin.
The publication reported Harry as saying: “I have very bad childhood trauma. Obviously. My mother was essentially murdered. What is it about me that didn’t make me one of the bad guys?”.
Additionally, a source claimed that Meghan would berate staff members without actually raising her voice on “any given Tuesday”.
The report also suggests that since relocating to Montecito in Santa Barbara County, the couple has earned nicknames like “the prince and the starlet” and been dubbed the “local villains,” attracting outsiders to visit the town. As a result, securing walk-in reservations at a popular steakhouse has become nearly impossible.
