The writing was seemingly on the wall before Frankie Muniz and his wife, Paige Price Muniz, called it quits after six years of marriage.
The former child star and Paige, who got married in 2019, announced in early July 2026 that they separated. (Frankie and Paige welcomed son Mauz in 2021.)
“Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage,” their social media statement read. “After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared.”
Frankie continued, “I’m endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she’s done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter. That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere. We’re excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had.”

Last Joint Social Media Appearances
Paige last appeared on Frankie’s account in February 2026 during a family trip to Walt Disney World in Florida.
“We had so much fun spending a few days at Fort Wilderness and visiting @waltdisneyworld,” he captioned a group pic. “We are grateful that we got to spend the day with the best tour guide Disney World has to offer. Annie, you’re awesome! Our favorite ride? Guardians of the Galaxy!!!”
Paige last posted a photo of Frankie one month prior.
Stepping Out Sans Rings
Paige snapped an Instagram selfie in late June 2026, in which she did not wear an engagement ring or wedding band.
“Peek-a-boo,” she captioned her post, shared just five days before the divorce announcement.
A ‘Tough’ Season
In his 2025 Us Weekly cover story, Frankie got candid about the challenges of balancing his relationship with his career.
“This season’s been really tough. We had a lot of bad luck. Eight races in a row, we didn’t finish because of things out of the team’s control, and it kills you, confidence-wise,” he told Us in September 2025 of his racing career. “I come home and I’m sad, you know, even though I’m fulfilling my dream, and I’m so lucky, but it’s because I’m so passionate, I want it so badly that it makes you sad, it makes you upset, it makes you angry, you know? And there’s a fine line of bringing that home, bringing that passion right to your family, and balancing all of that.”
Frankie explained that he returned to the racetrack to inspire Mauz after “unfinished business.”
“[2024] was rough. This year has not necessarily gone to plan, but I say I am doing it for my family, but it’s 100 percent taking me away from my family,” he admitted. “I’ve been home 17 days this year. … You put in the work, you put in the time. I’m away from my family. I’m sacrificing so much.”
He further admitted that he hadn’t “quite figured” out how to balance his work schedule with his family commitments.
“It is not just the racing. It’s just like I’m 100 percent exhausted right now,” he told Us. “So, I question whether or not I’m putting 100 percent into things, because if I only have 70 percent to give because I’m exhausted, because I’m doing too much, there’s that fine line. I’m trying to figure out that balance.”
A Change in Plans
While speaking with Us in summer 2025, Frankie acknowledged that his next year would look different because of Paige.
“I think I know what I’m gonna be doing. A lot of discussion with my wife, because to be honest, it’s not what my wife signed up for,” he said. “If I’m being 100 percent honest, she didn’t marry a race car driver at the time. I wasn’t on the road 300 days a year. And making sure that I’m there for her, I’m there for my son, but also doing the things that I need to do in my life or I want to do in my life.”
Life Behind the Scenes
During Us Weekly‘s 2025 cover interview, Frankie also revealed he had been documenting the unfiltered reality of life behind the scenes in racing.
“We were filming more of a documentary [of] the racing world. And we stopped for a bit because I wanted to make sure that… it was real, [that] it wasn’t what we wanted to be shown… The whole life aspect of it, everything,” he said. “I feel like it’s unfair for people to only see the successes, you know, or the happy times because there’s been a lot of tears shed over the last couple of years of just trying to make things happen.”
“I don’t think people have any idea what it’s truly like,” Frankie added. They see the glitz and glamour of the things I’m doing but none of the real life reality of the things I’m doing.
Frankie also said his wife was on board.
“[My wife] doesn’t wanna be known. Some people want that, want cameras. I think she wants [a documentary] because she wants people to truly see what it’s really like,” he continued. “I try to explain to [my mom] what my week is like and she’s like it doesn’t even sound real. There’s no way that you could have that many amazing things and that many negative things. I’m sitting here about to return this rental car at the airport [and] I might get to eat before I get on the plane,” Frankie added with a laugh. “That’s my normal day. There’s no downtime.”
TV Stardom and Hard Work
“There’s obviously some amazing things that come along with it, but in the end, it’s work,” Frankie told Us in 2025 about the perks that come with being the star of one of TV’s biggest hits and working hard. “There’s so much negative that comes with it too that people don’t necessarily see or talk about. And you sound like you’re whining if you complain about the negative. Does that make sense? Like, you got all this stuff, how could you complain?
“If you interviewed my wife as an outsider, who came into my life, post the [TV] show, didn’t grow up with it, didn’t grow up with me being on the show, all that kind of stuff. But she knows the true authentic me. She knows what the struggles are on a daily basis or the positives or the good, the bad and all that kind of stuff. I think she would have a much different story to tell. What people think her life must be like, because she’s married to me now, is not probably the life that if she explained her life that people would think is what she would say.
Frankie revealed that doing it all takes “a lot of work.”
“It’s a lot of work,” he continued during the interview. “We talk about it all the time. We’ve been together [for] 10 years now. We go like, ‘Do you remember when we first met, we used to play golf? Like we used to have time to play golf. We have like an hour off. What do people do to take up time?’ Because we don’t normally have that. We’re normally like, we gotta go here, we gotta do this, we have to do this. We gotta get this call. I got this Zoom, I got this, my son, I got a flight. It’s so nonstop. She said something the other day. She’s like, ‘We have everything that we could ever ask for in life. But our friends that have nothing live much more fulfilled lives because they’re not running around with their heads cut off all the time.’
“I’m enjoying my life, so don’t get me wrong,” he said. “It’s so much all the time that it’s sometimes hard to realize what you’re even doing.”
A Balancing Act
Frankie was joined by Paige and Mauz at the April 2026 premiere of Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair. On the red carpet, he exclusively opened up to Us about his marriage.
“It is very hard, I won’t lie. Honestly, my wife is a saint. She’s sacrificing so much for me to live my dream,” he told Us. “My family comes to a few of the races. They’re here this week [while I promote the show], obviously, but it’s hard to uproot them and take them all over the place. I want my son to have a routine and his school and his friends and go to church. I’m not going to lie, it’s been very, very, very tough.”
The actor added that he was “constantly trying to be better.”
“I know I need to be better,” he stated. “I know it’s not easy for her to be basically a single mother a lot of the time, if I’m being honest.”
