With award season right around the corner, Sinners is set to return to IMAX theaters with a perfect re-release. Ryan Coogler‘s vampiric horror became an overnight sensation earlier this year for its original story, its genre-blending and thematic elements, and strong filmmaking direction.
Even though Sinners is now streaming on HBO Max, the horror movie is scheduled for a theatrical re-release. Coogler’s magnum opus is set to return to select IMAX theaters between October 30 and November 5. This is after IMAX quietly released the tickets on their website, which are now available to purchase.
Despite reports leading up to its release,Sinners debuted with $48 million at the domestic box office during its original April release.
