Two of New Zealand’s biggest live acts will host the first-ever live concert at Christchurch’s new stadium.
Six60 and Synthony are coming together for Once in a Lifetime, a special event to open Aotearoa’s newest premier venue, One NZ Stadium.
Taking place on Saturday, May 16th of next year, this one-off concert will open a new chapter in Christchurch’s history in style.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 11th at midday. There will also be a number of pre-sales (see below).
Six60 will play a full set combining new music and chart-topping classics, while lucky fans will also be treated to a full Synthony set showcasing their signature orchestral-electronic experience. The acts will then come together for a special collaborative finale during which Six60’s biggest songs will be given the full Synthony treatment.
Six60 and Synthony will be backed by an all-Kiwi lineup on the day, featuring local country-pop star Kaylee Bell, who just sold out Christchurch Town Hall last month; Christchurch-based pop singer-songwriter Cassie Henderson; and local pop-rock outfit Castaway.
“It’s a real honour for us to play the first ever show at Christchurch’s One New Zealand Stadium. Christchurch has backed us from day one, it was the first ever city to book us for a live gig, so being able to open a venue built for its future is really special. We can’t wait to put on a night that Christchurch deserves,” Six60 share.
