Days after Snoop Dogg lamented about LGBTQ+ representation in movies, his past, which he featured in one, has come back to bite him in the face.
When the Death Row Records CEO appeared on the August 20 episode of “It’s Giving” podcast, he spared no time, slamming Disney’s presentation of lesbian characters in “Lightyear.”
The “Gin and Juice” hitmaker’s comments about the animation sparked homophobic allegations about him. Now, fans have uncovered that Snoop previously had a cameo role in queer show, “The L Word.”

In a trip down memory lane, a social media critic posted images on Instagram from the 2004 TV series showing the 53-year-old in a scene with Jennifer Beals, who plays Bette, one of the gay characters.
The post featured a four-frame collage with captions written across the images, presented as dialogue between the duo. In the first frame, Bette tells Snoop she is waiting for her “half-sister.”
The second shot shows his reply saying, “Beautiful half, I’m supposing.” The third then reveals Bette’s response, “More like the gay half,” followed by Snoop’s reaction to the revelation. “Is that so? Sexy. Very sexy,” the word read.
In the accompanying caption to the post, the user confirmed that the scene was when Bette first opened up about her sexuality to the “Reincarnated” actor.
The caption further read, “Cut to two decades later, and he’s running his mouth on some podcast saying he’s ‘scared to go to the movies’ after merely seeing a lesbian couple. Wonder what changed!”

The “Drop it Like it’s Hot” singer guest-starred in two episodes of the series as Slim Daddy, a fictional rapper recording a music video with Kit Porter, who portrayed Pam Grier.
At that time, Kit’s sister, Bette, was at the beginning of what would develop into a multi-season relationship with her partner, played by Tina Lifford.
The groundbreaking project was one of the first to center on the lives and relationships of lesbians and was written and directed by queer women.

One critic took a jab at the rapper’s contradictory stance. “How’s he going to explain THAT to his grandkids? What rhymes with hypocrite?” the user mocked.

Fans’ disapproval of the “Sweat” singer’s take on same-sex relationships began after he blasted Disney’s “Lightyear.”
As The Blast reported, the Grammy winner recounted his experience with his grandson while they watched the kids’ animation with podcast host Sarah Fontenot, emphasizing that he felt uncomfortable.
“They’re putting it everywhere! My grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, ‘Papa Snoop, how [does] she have a baby with a woman?” the “Deep Cover” hitmaker lamented.
He added, “I’m like, scared to go to the movies. Y’all throwing me in the middle of sh-t that I don’t have an answer for.”
