Sobhita Dhulipala calls out Bollywood’s PR game
In a time when from lesser-known celebrities to film stars focus on being in the spotlight to remain relevant, some people think differently.
Film actor Sobhita Dhulipala is one of them. The actress avoids excessive limelight and also shares the reason for staying away from the constant buzz of publicity in Bollywood.
The 33-year-old diva, while talking about her return to Telugu cinema, also addressed the increasing prominence of public relations campaigns in the entertainment industry.
She said, “Over the past few years, in brief pockets here and there, I’ve worked with a PR firm, but I think for my personality or the kind of choices I’m keen on making for the kind of life I want to lead, I’ve decided that I’m not going to require this sort of amplification.
I don’t want to be visible 24×7 or I don’t want to be spoken about all the time. That’s not my interest, I don’t find it useful for me,” she added.
The Goodachari star emphasised that her focus is on work rather than the projection. “I don’t work with PR, but maybe it works for someone else. There’s no fixed rule with this thing. You can only have your preferences and I think I have clarity about my own,” the Moothon actress said.
Sobhita, who has acted in films across different languages, has now returned to a full-length Telugu project with Cheekatilo.
While she appeared in the bilingual film Major in 2022, her last proper Telugu release before that was Goodachari in 2018.
