Speed Announce New Three-Track Release ‘All My Angels’, Share ‘Peace’

Speed have announced a new EP, entitled All My Angels, which is set for release on Friday, October 23rd via Last Ride and Flatspot Records. The ARIA Award-winning Sydney hardcore band have shared the single from this three-track effort, entitled ‘Peace’ – which, like all of the songs on the release, was written about the tragic passing of three of the group’s close longtime friends – Alex Arthur, Tahmid “Ladstreet” Nurullah and Chang-Wook “Aje” Yeo – within the space of 18 months.

“Amidst this devastation, I was overcome with a deep sense of clarity and peace,” said Jem Siow – the band’s lead vocalist and flautist – in a press statement. “Despite the abyss of questions of why and how, my clearest sense of calm lay in the certainty that the time we shared and invested in one another was underpinned by unfiltered honesty and unconditional love.

“Their lives were short, but I know our experiences together were lived with deep, meaningful intention – which has, in turn, empowered us with more meaning and purpose while we are still here. This sense of calm and focus exists like a sharpened, refined weapon at my disposal – poised to attack life and its many hurdles with precision and intention – and it has only been refined through the process of loss.” The video for ‘Peace’, directed by Thomas Elliott, can be viewed below.

Speed – ‘Peace’

All My Angels, like all of Speed’s releases thus far, was recorded with producer Elliot Gallart – a childhood friend of Siow’s – at Sydney’s Chameleon Studios. It is the band’s third EP, following on from their debut release 2020 Flex and 2022’s Gang Called Speed, and is the follow-up to the band’s debut studio album Only One Mode, which was released in July 2024. The album debuted at number 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and later won an ARIA for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Release.

The band have toured Australia twice in 2025 – one a regional run, the other a metropolitan tour with Thai hardcore band Whispers and Newcastle band Feel The Pain. The band’s sole remaining Australian show comes in December, where they will head to Tweed Heads and the Central Coast to perform at Rolling Sets festival alongside Hilltop Hoods, Spacey Jane, Parcels, Scowl and more.
