The new show drops tomorrow
Apple TV is preparing to broadcast a surprising Spice Girls reunion through its latest competition programme.
KPOPPED, which debuts on the streaming platform this Friday (August 29), showcases legendary Western artists as they reimagine their greatest hits in the style of South Korean pop.
The celebrities are matched with Korean acts and given time to rehearse ahead of a final performance, with a Seoul-based crowd serving as judges.
The official synopsis states: “This energetic music series, starring PSY and Megan Thee Stallion, features surprising collaborations and behind-the-scenes moments of connection from iconic Western artists and top K-pop idols while they create genre-blending covers of their biggest hits.”

Whilst PSY and Megan Thee Stallion are billed as the programme’s main attractions, the series also features Spice Girls icons Mel B and Emma Bunton, reports the Mirror.
The pair will take part in the second episode, collaborating with Korean girl band Itzy to reinvent their classic tracks ‘Wannabe’ and ‘Say You’ll Be There.’
Alongside modern renditions of these chart-toppers, audiences will witness exclusive backstage scenes of Emma and Mel as they gear up for the ultimate showdown.
But the star-studded line-up doesn’t stop there, KPOPPED also features pop legend Kylie Minogue, R&B sensation Patti Labelle and rapper Vanilla Ice.
Other performers gracing the stage include Kesha, Eve, J Balvin, TLC, Boy George, Jess Glynne, Ava Max, and Boyz II Men.
They are joined by K-pop groups BILLIE, Itzy, KEP1ER, JO1, Ateez, STAYC, Kiss of Life, and Blackswan.
As the series premiere approaches, fans have taken to social media to express their excitement about the star-studded cast.
