The news comes one day after the series premiere on Oct. 14. Variety first reported that a “Splinter Cell” animated series was in the works back in 2020, at which time it was reported that Netflix had given the show a two-season order.
Based on the “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell” video game franchise, the animated series stars Liev Schreiber as Sam Fisher, with Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Zinnia Mckenna. Additional voice cast members include Janet Varney, Helen Hong, Kari Wahlgren, Joel Oulette, Aleks Le, Kiff VandenHeuvel, Bella Dayne, and Navid Negahban.
The official logline for the series states, “Legendary agent Sam Fisher is drawn back into the field when a wounded young operative seeks out his help.”
