The best known and most loved features on Spotify, arguably, are its hyper-specific playlists. Three such features, Daylists, Spotify Mixes, and Song Radio, are being highlighted in a new ad campaign starring the husband-and-wife duo of Hindi film actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Centred on the idea that ‘Spotify gets you’, the campaign depicts, with a dash of humour, how “in some moments, Spotify understands the listener better than their spouses do”.
The first film focuses on Mixes, the set of personalised playlists that are tailored to each individual listener’s tastes, across genres, moods and more. The second showcases Daylist, the quirkily-named hyper personalised playlist that changes six times a day based on what you want to listen to, at that time. Spoiler alert: Saif has one called ‘thoughtful poetic Sunday afternoon’.
