How to add Instagram songs to your Spotify playlist
Discover new music on Instagram and instantly add it to your Spotify playlist with just a couple taps.
Problem Solved
Ever wondered when you created your Spotify account? Or which song you listened to first on the app? Well, now you can revisit these moments through the music streaming platform’s new feature.
For the first time, Spotify is gifting users “a fully personalized look at their entire music history,” taking them on a trip down the memory lane with its new “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)” feature, a “new, mobile-only in-app experience” that “gives you a playful, nostalgia-driven look back at your music listening history” and brings “your listening journey to life.”
The experience highlights moments that defined users’ time “through never-before-shared data,” including:
- First day on Spotify
- Total number of unique songs listened to
- First streamed song
- All-time most-streamed artist
- All-Time Top Songs Playlist: a collection of the top 120 tracks, complete with play counts
Each data story includes a share card at the end of the experience, allowing users to save results, send them to friends or share them on social media.
How to get ‘Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)’
Spotify users can find their “Party of the Year(s)” by searching “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s)” in the mobile app or by visiting spotify.com/20 on your mobile device. The experience is only available on mobile devices.
Spotify said the new experience is part of the music streaming platform’s 20th birthday celebrations and is “designed as a personalized time capsule” that “captures the moments that defined listeners’ music journeys and celebrates the artists and fans who have shaped Spotify and music culture over the past 20 years.”

Spotify at 20
As part of the celebrations earlier in April, Spotify also revealed the lists of most-streamed artists, albums, songs, podcasts and audiobooks in the streaming service’s history.
The data comes from years of fan listening and reflects global Spotify streams as of April 2026, according to the streamers’ news release. The celebration also features a Spotify 20 hub that contains playlists and a visual history of the streaming service.
“Drawn from years of listening across hundreds of millions of fans, these lists capture the music and stories that didn’t just break through but stayed, becoming part of everyday life around the world,” Spotify said.
