After spending the entire season establishing character dynamics, exploring new horizons, and redefining the “Star Trek” lore for a new generation, “Starfleet Academy” has returned to its central plotline, for the final lap. The penultimate episode, titled “300th Night,” focuses on Caleb’s attempt to reunite with his mother, Anisha, as Venari Ral pirate leader Nus Braka puts a diabolical plan in motion that can drag the Federation back to the dark days during the Burn. An action-packed, intense, emotionally gratifying next-to-last chapter of the season was just what was needed to hype up Trekkers for an eventful finale, which will release later this week.
