“It has become increasingly clear that the president is a thin-skinned little devil baby who cannot stand to be giggled at,” Colbert said, referring to the moment Trump arrived at an escalator at the UN, only for it to stop working.
“Rejected!” Colbert exclaimed as Trump reached the escalator and then stopped.
The United Nations said a member of Trump’s team accidentally triggered the escalator’s safety mechanism, causing it to stop. The president and his entourage eventually walked up the stopped escalator.
