Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is finally here, and fans are buzzing to know when the excitement will kick off.
As we bid farewell to summer, the chillier nights herald the return of cosy TV evenings with BBC‘s Strictly Come Dancing.
A fresh batch of 15 celebrities, including radio presenter Vicky Pattinson, The Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner and model Ellie Goldstein, are anxiously awaiting their debut on the dance floor in the launch show.
Naturally, Strictly wouldn’t be complete without its beloved hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and its stellar panel of judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas.

What time does Strictly Come Dancing start tonight?
Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is set to begin this evening, Saturday, September 20, at 6.40pm and will run until 8.30pm, on BBC One.
Not only will fans get a glimpse of this year’s Strictly stars tonight, but they’ll also discover which professional dancers will be competing.
There are some spectacular performances to look forward to as well, including one from Strictly champions Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell who recently announced her pregnancy.
All the Strictly professionals are set to dazzle viewers with a spectacular routine to start the show, and newcomers Alexis Warr and Julian Cailion will also showcase their own dance number.
American dancer Alexis previously clinched victory in the competition So You Think You Can Dance, while Australian-born Julian Caillon has graced the stage on America’s Dancing With The Stars.
Singer Jessie J is also slated to perform, accompanied by some of the dancing professionals.
The former The Voice coach’s appearance on Strictly marks her major TV comeback following a mastectomy due to an early breast cancer diagnosis.
Thankfully, it has been confirmed that there has been no further spread of the disease. The singer has also revealed plans for reconstructive surgery, acknowledging that there is “lots of healing to go”.
