It is one of the most hotly-debated topics among Survivor nation with proponents on both sides shouting their arguments from the tallest coconut tree. And the topic is…. What is better: a final two or a final three?
Jeff Probst and I have been debating this very point for years. He will point out that the best players were often knocked out in third place. I will acknowledge and counter that the choice between A and B is inherently more dramatic than “choose one of the above.” He will, in turn, recognize the strength of that side of the argument, yet stand firm. We respectfully see where the other person is coming from, yet just can’t agree. It’s like arguing between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. There are points to be made on both sides.

But that does not mean we cannot get a vote going right here! What do you prefer: the classic simplicity of a final two, or the extended dance remix of a final three? You can cast your own vote on this delicate matter in our poll below.
And you are not the only ones weighing in. We also posed the same question to the cast of Survivor 50. Which side of history will they land on? Watch the video below to see how they voted, and then pick your own preference as well in our handy-dandy poll.
