Swifties are sharing their frustration on social media, as Taylor Swift has yet to respond to the Trump administration posting images that appear similar to her Eras tour branding
Taylor Swift fans are sharing their confusion and frustration on social media as the pop star remains silent after the Trump administration posted images that are eerily similar to her Eras tour branding.
Swift and Travis Kelce celebrated their marriage at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, overlapping with President Donald Trump’s lineup of festivities for the country’s 250th anniversary of independence on the holiday weekend.
As the wedding has had a chokehold on Swifties, it appears that the Trump administration wanted to get in on one of the biggest pop culture moments of the summer by posting what appeared to be Swift-inspired images on its official social media accounts.
On Thursday, July 2, the official White House X account shared an image mirroring Swift’s iconic Eras Tour poster. Instead of the typical multicolored pictures of Swift featured on the poster, Trump’s social media team inserted pictures of the president alongside other moments from American history.
The bottom of the poster read: “America’s Eras Tour.” The White House also wrote in the caption, “It’s been a long time coming,” which seems to reference a lyric from Swift’s song Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.

In a series of posts following the Swift-inspired poster, the White House X accounts continued to post videos representing stops on its so-called “America’s Eras Tour.”
“America’s greatest hits, one era at a time. Since 1776,” the White House X account captioned a 24-second video on Friday, which featured images of the founding of the country, including stock images of former presidents and the White House.
The White House wasn’t done getting in on the fervor for the Swift-Kelce wedding.

Shortly after Swift and Kelce tied the knot on Friday, July 3, at about 7:30 p.m. ET, the digital signs outside MSG brightly displayed the announcement: “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Just after 8:00 p.m. on Friday night, the White House X account wrote “IT’S HAPPENED!!!” along with an image similar to the MSG announcement, but the digital sign outside the venue said: “Trump is your president.”
Swifties quickly jumped into the conversation, questioning why the Cruel Summer singer was remaining silent on the Trump administration’s Eras Tour-inspired posts.
“Isn’t it odd that a woman who’s built her career around being relentless for copyrighting and licensing her likeness and music is now suddenly silent on this plagiarised version of her tour poster, and has been for three whole days now,” one user posted on X.
“Her silence is very very loud. This is the 3rd time they’ve used her likeness/music without any repercussions,” another user wrote.
Someone else wrote, “Taylor’s trademark lawyer like ‘can a girl get a weekend off to enjoy a wedding.’”
It’s unclear what the Trump administration’s intentions were with the series of posts that appeared to give a nod to Swift. However, Swift and Trump haven’t had a smooth relationship in the past.
After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, Trump wrote on social media, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
While Swift has rarely directly commented on the president, in 2020, she posted on X, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump.”
