It also appears to mirror the trajectory of Dwayne Johnson’s The Smashing Machine, though with less critical success.
This also marks the worst performance by any film starring Sydney Sweeney, the actress who has been quite a controversial figure lately.
While most assumed that having Sweeney would already be a boost to the film, her latest controversy surrounding the American Eagle jeans, and especially her recent reaction to the same, could have played a big part in the film’s performance.
