Sydney Sweeney started getting criticised for not getting front seats at the recent Knicks game with Scooter Braun. Many started questioning her celebrity status as she and her beau sat a few rows behind Taylor Swift.
The courtside seats for the Knicks game have seats available for celebrities from sports, music, and entertainment. Previously, the Euphoria star had taken the front seat last year at a Knicks-Nets game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
As such, Sweeney recieved criticism for this year’s seating arrangement, with The celebrity.land sharing its thoughts. The outlet wrote in an Instagram post, “Sydney Sweeney may be headlining movies, but she’s apparently not considered front-row worthy for Knicks playoff games.”
They added, “The famous actress and her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, sat three rows back for the Knicks’ 107-106 historic Game 4 win over the Spurs on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.”
However, Braun took a stand for his girlfriend in the comments section. The businessman commented, “She surprised me with tickets in the same section with my pops and my brother so I could share it with them.”
He further said, “Let’s keep things positive and get One more! Greatest game of all time. Can’t stop smiling.” Thus, many started supporting Braun’s response. A user said, “A+ response.” Another one said, “It’s all silly. And her hair looks amazing!” A third user noted, “classy response!!”
This comment was proof of Braun’s healthy relationship with Sweeney. The pair were first romantically linked in the summer of 2025. That same year, a source told PEOPLE that “things are serious” between them. Further, in April of this year, they went Instagram official.
