Ever since the news broke that Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun got together, people have been waiting for the details. Whether you love or hate this mashup, many have to admit: it’s an unexpected pairing, and it’s left everyone confused, including Sweeney’s pals. In fact, insiders say her friends are warning her profusely to cut and run.
Insiders recently told Star Magazine that Sweeney’s pals aren’t fans of this new romance, but she allegedly doesn’t care.
“Sydney’s saying it’s nobody’s concern, she’s having fun and people have got it wrong because Scooter’s a cool, chilled out guy,” the insider claimed. “But friends say he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing and you only have to look at his past to see that.”
“Some say he should be avoided with a 10-foot pole. Sydney has every right to see who she wants … but this has all the earmarks of disaster in the making,” they added. “Scooter has such a bad reputation, and the feeling is Sydney could do much better.”

For those who don’t know, it all started when insiders revealed to Star Magazine in late Aug 2025 that the controversial stars are having a summer romance, after they were spotted together in Venice, Italy, back in June during Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding.
It was all later confirmed to TMZ that the romance is “casual,” adding, “Sydney has just ended a relationship and she’s doing what women in their 20’s do — she’s dating.” Allegedly, Braun was the one who heavily pursued her, and while they’re all PDA-filled now, it seems her pals aren’t in support.
