GRAND FORKS — The Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra has announced a new annual scholarship, totalling up to $10,000, for UND undergraduate or graduate students.
The symphony orchestra will accept applications for the College Support Scholarship until 11:59 p.m. April 12.
The scholarship is intended to help students through their college career by supporting their love of music, said Jessica Schumacher, the symphony’s executive director.
The application process is open to UND students — domestic and international — who are enrolled full-time during the 2026-27 school year and who are majoring in music with the violin or viola as their primary instrument.
The scholarship is a means of assisting students in their pursuit of music education, to hone their talents and to contribute to a lifetime of passion and success, according to the symphony’s announcement.
