Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl is just around the corner, and 13 days (IYKYK) ahead of its release, the artist gave us a bit more information on what we have to look forward to. In a video posted on Instagram, Swift explained the process behind the album’s vinyl and CD packaging, teasing poems and photo cards. “We wanted this album to feel really luxurious, as a nod to the luxury that a showgirl puts on when she’s on stage,” she shared, noting a high gloss finish unlike any she’s used before.
For her style, she’s also been keeping things luxurious—with an initial pendant courtesy of New York-based FoundRae. Founded by Beth Hutchens and worn by the likes of Zendaya and Cynthia Erivo, the jewelry label creates modern heirlooms with a focus on storytelling, viewing each piece as a tool to tell one’s tale. At the heart of the label is a message of self-expression, a mission that no doubt resonated with the prolific songwriter herself.
Swift’s “T” initial medallion, referencing both her own name and her fiancés, was crafted in 18K gold and set with baguette and round diamonds. Designed in a retro font, it feels both vintage and timeless, both classic and opulent—just like showgirl style. And this is not the first time we’ve seen Swift in FoundRae; just last month, she wore the label’s Miniature Heart Initial earring in her engagement photos with Travis Kelce.
In the promo video, Swift paired the piece with a Versace leather miniskirt and a cashmere short sleeve crew from Reformation in The Life of a Showgirl’s orange-red color scheme. On her feet, she slipped into chunky platforms from Malone Souliers, and on her wrist, a Versace watch—necessary to count down to October 3.
