Take That have surprised fans by debuting a brand‑new song, You’re A Superstar, during the closing credits of the final episode of their three‑part Netflix documentary.

The unexpected track appears in the finale of the tell‑all series and has now been confirmed as the first taste of the group’s next studio album — their first since 2023’s This Life.

A source told The Mirror the band deliberately kept the song under wraps: “The band thought it would be a great surprise and a treat for fans at the end of the Netflix series. It’s a great way to tease their new material and the full single will be coming soon.”

Gary Barlow previously revealed that new music was already in motion, though he admitted he’s increasingly drawn to releasing songs as they’re finished rather than waiting for a full album cycle.

Speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre column in 2025, he said the trio were back in the studio as soon as their tour wrapped and were keen to keep momentum going, adding that fans “want stuff now” rather than waiting years between albums.

The Netflix documentary charts the band’s rise, fall and reinvention, revisiting both the highs and the more difficult chapters of their career.

Gary admitted the second episode — which explores the pressures of fame — was particularly hard to watch, telling The Daily Telegraph it took him a week to get through it because it brought back memories he hadn’t revisited in years.

Now operating as a trio since the departures of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, the group say they’ve reached their limit when it comes to slimming down further.

Gary Said: “I think three is as small as we’re gonna get.”

Mark Owen quipped that they could always rename themselves Take Two.

Gary laughed: “That’s not a bad name.”
