In a new video promoting Season 2 of The Flip Off posted on Instagram, Christina Haack, and Tarek and Heather El Moussa poke fun at a rumor that just won’t die: Is that really Tarek’s hair?
“The king is back,” Tarek, 44, crows in the video — which was posted by HGTV and all three stars’ social media on Thursday, August 21 — before putting on a crown to indicate his and Heather’s win last year.
When he saunters into the kitchen — where his current and ex-wives are enjoying a champagne toast to celebrate the home reno competition show’s renewal — he accidentally puts his arm around Haack, 42.
“Eww!” she says, ripping the crown off his head and tossing it on the floor. The next shot shows the crown attached to a toupee, a reference to fans’ ongoing speculation that Tarek’s hair is fake.
Tarek had previously addressed the gossip in April. “Here’s what I did: I got PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections in my head, which caused my hair to grow in fuller and I grew out my hair,” he told Page Six.
Still, Haack couldn’t help but fuel the rumors on her Instagram Stories. “Is Tarek wearing a toupee?” she asked her followers, along with a behind-the-scenes clip of him denying it in December.
In The Flip Off, Tarek and Heather, 37, faced off against Haack and her ex, Josh Hall, who left halfway through the season when they split. The new season will premiere in 2026.
