McRae went from looking like an angel on the red carpet in her all-white gown to channeling femme fatale energy in an all-black see-through ensemble during the night for the afterparty.

On September 7, Tate McRae transformed into the diva that she is when she stepped out for the 2025 VMAs afterparty at the Crane Club in Chelsea in New York City. She continued her sheer theme from the red carpet to the late-night celebrations. The singer-dancer opted for an all-black ensemble, which was a lot of things at once, but the overall look worked in harmony.
The pop star wore a black criss-cross halter top featuring an open torso. McRae paired the same with a sheer long-sleeved bodysuit featuring a high neck. The see-through elements continued as the “Greedy” hitmaker wore a pair of tights and black briefs underneath to round off the attire. A long black cloth, matching the halter top, was also tied around her waist. The different pieces perfectly worked together and made them look almost like a jumpsuit.
McRae topped her ensemble with a pair of black pointed-toe pumps and sunglasses. Besides that, the “Exes” singer wore her hair down in her signature beachy waves for the outing. Following the event, she also took to Instagram to proudly flaunt her sheer outfits, along with her Moonman trophies. At this year’s VMAs, the diva swept up the awards for Song of the Summer and Best Editing for “Just Keep Watching.”
