NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — She’s officially in her ‘Showgirl’ era.
Taylor Swift released her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl” Friday, Oct. 3, in stores and all streaming platforms.
Swifties all over Nashville plan to boost the pop icon’s music to the top of the charts upon its release.
The pop princess announced the new album during her first podcast appearance on now-fiance Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights, which he hosts with his brother, Jason.
Nashville Oktoberfest kicks off Thursday
Two places in Nashville have special events happening to celebrate the release and allow fans to listen to the latest music from Swift.
Mother’s Ruin in Germantown is hosting The Life of a Listening Party starting at 8 p.m. The event promises a “one-of-a-kind evening” with a DJ set spinning the new album in its entirety along with all the top Swift hits..
Flash tattoos will also be available, and the bar will hold album raffles and special Swift-themed cocktails to sip while you make friendship bracelets.

“Get ready to make the whole place shimmer,” the bar said in an Instagram post for the event.
The Belcourt is also holding a listening party for the album the whole weekend, as the theatre is one of select theaters nationwide airing The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
The event will see the premiere of the official music video for one of the album’s tracks, “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as lyric videos and Taylor’s reflections on songs from the brand new album. Tickets for the weekend’s showings are available here.
