Selena Gomez is set to marry Benny Blanco this weekend and fans are excited to learn all about the pop star’s wedding.
The couple got engaged in December 2024 and while they haven’t shared details of their special day publicly, sources have said they will tie the knot at a private estate in Santa Barbara, California, with security being a top priority.
A source said guests would be picked up and driven to the location without knowing the destination ahead of time.
Selena, 33, hasn’t confirmed who her bridesmaids will be, but according to sources close to the star, she has chosen a tight-knit group of friends who have been close to her for years.
Pop star Taylor Swift, 35, is also set to have a special role during the wedding after offering to be Selena’s flower girl when the Love You Like a Love Song hitmaker announced her engagement to record producer Benny, 37.
All dressed in a white bikini with matching loungewear, the women – pals Ashley Cook, Raquelle Stevens, Courtney Lopez, Priscilla DeLeon and Connar Franklin Carpenter – enjoyed their getaway to celebrate the upcoming nuptials.
Earlier this week, Selena’s longtime friend and former assistant Theresa Marie posted photos showing Priscilla arriving in Los Angeles – a hint that final wedding prep was in full swing.
Taylor, who is also a longtime friend of Selena’s, also arrived in LA for the celebration, with Page Six reporting that she “will be renting a house near the wedding venue, which is a secret to the public.”
A source said the singer’s security felt it would be better for her to rent a house instead of staying at the exclusive El Encanto, where other guests are saying. Rooms at the hotel are going for $3,500 a night and are now fully booked for the weekend.
When Selena and Benny shared the news that they had got engaged back in December, Taylor was one of the first people to comment on their Instagram post and wrote, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
Although her role at the wedding hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s expected that Taylor will be by her friend’s side on her special day.
However, insiders suggest that Taylor’s fiancé Travis Kelce, who popped the question to Taylor last month, might not be able to make it due to his NFL commitments.
