Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s back-up dancer Jan Ravnik has joined the cast of season 34 of Dancing With The Stars, according to reports.
A source told The Sun, Jan Ravnik was cast on the dance competion series due to his connection with DWTS choreographer Mandy Moore.
Ravnik, who served as a back-up dancer on Swift’s Eras Tour, is believed to be replacing Gleb Savchenko on the ABC show, amid rumors that he has been fired from it.
The insider said, “The show needed a replacement for Gleb [Savchenko] and Jan’s availability came at the perfect time.
“Like Gleb, Jan’s got the devilishly handsome good looks, charm, and dance moves to back it up.”
They also gushed about his “incredible choreography” and branded him “probably the most talented new addition they’ve hired in years.”
The source claimed Ravnik knows Moore well because she choreographed Swift’s recent Eras tour, and has been “choreographing DWTS for years and years.”
They added, “So that’s basically how that happened. It’s such a family at this point, and Mandy was thrilled to welcome Jan into the DWTS family.”
The source claims Savchenko was axed for a variety of reasons – and his ex Brooks Naders’ claim this month that he cheated on her “was the straw that broke the camel’s back”.
Ravnik, moved to the United States from Slovenia to pursue his career, and before working with Swift, he was as a backup dancer for Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Khalid, and Luis Fonsi.
He also appeared on Swift’s documentary movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film, which came out in October.

Ravnick gained national attention in Slovena after winning various, including picking up the ‘Best Dancer of Slovenia’ award twice.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to further pursue his career and found work performing alongside the likes of Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi and DJ Khalid, before Swift recruited him in January last year.
Savchenko joined DWTS in 2013 for season 16, before taking a break from it for a few years and returning as a pro for season 23 in 2016.
Last year he was partnered with Brooks Nader and they started dating during their time on the show.
They split briefly after they were eliminated, before they got back together around the time the finale aired in November. But the pair ended up spliting for good in April.
Savchenko hinted recently he would not be returning to the show, and suggested his decision was over Brooks accusing him of cheating on her, an allegation he vehmently denies.
