Taylor Swift loves her Easter eggs, and she may have even hinted at her engagement with the colors she chose for her most recent album cover.
The pop star posted on Instagram Tuesday that she and Kansas City Chiefs’ tight-end Travis Kelce are officially engaged. The couple shared a five-photo carousel of the two in a lush setting with him on one knee as Swift clutches his face.
The photos also show off the ring, which has a massive diamond resting on her finger. The caption for the photo was fitting for the couple and it read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

While this is the first time an engagement has been confirmed, some fans have speculated that the news was coming for weeks. There could have been a hint in the release of her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl.
BRIDES.com noted last year that the color for brides in 2025 would be orange. The color is called “Verona Sunset,” which is a soft orange color similar to Taylor’s album.
“This punchy, perky orange is the perfect match for all of the bold, inventive couples planning their nuptials right now,” BRIDES.com reported.
The organization explained its thinking, saying the color represents Italy as destination weddings are on the rise.
“With a particular emphasis on celebrations taking place in Italy, naming our warm, rich orange after an iconic Italian city couldn’t have been more fitting. The fact that said city also serves at the backdrop to Romeo and Juliet was just the icing on the cake.”
That’s fitting with Taylor too, whose popular song Love Story features Romeo and Juliet as characters.
The pair have been romantically linked since the summer of 2023 and the two publicly debut their relationship in October of that year, when they were spotted holding hands at a Saturday Night Live party in New York City. Although, before that intimate display Taylor had appeared at Kansas City Chief’ tight end’s games.
