Celebrations and listening parties are set to take place Friday in Sacramento when Taylor Swift releases her highly-anticipated 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Celebrations and listening parties are set to take place Friday in Sacramento as Taylor Swift releases her highly anticipated 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Fizz Champagne and Bubbles Bar will host a free album listening party from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday inside its space at DOCO Plaza, 615 David J. Stern Walk, Suite 105, near Estelle Bakery & Pâtisserie and steps from Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento.

Swift’s new album draws inspiration from her life as a performer and includes 12 songs with a total runtime of 41 minutes and 40 seconds.

The lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” opens the album. Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the title track.

“We’re throwing a showgirl-worthy party for the release of Taylor Swift’s brand-new album The Life of a Showgirl,” Fizz Champagne said in a social media post. “Sequins, champagne and Swifties unite – let’s celebrate like true showgirls.”

The event will include a friendship bracelet-making station, a photo booth themed to the album, and a special cocktail menu. Themed drinks will be served alongside a limited “Taylor-approved” menu featuring chicken tenders, fries, oysters and caviar.

Additional activities include a best showgirl attire contest, raffles, and giveaways, including a “The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume Portofino Orange Glitter” vinyl.

The album will play throughout the evening, accompanied by visuals and music videos.

Admission is free and open to the public. No tickets are required, but attendees must be 21 or older.

Rock out to Swift on big screen

Fans unable to attend the Fizz Champagne event have another way to mark the album release.

Multiple Cinemark theaters across the capital region will screen “The Life of a Showgirl” this weekend as part of a special visual album release. The film, which runs 90 minutes, will start at scheduled showtimes without previews, according to Cinemark. Screenings begin Friday and continue through Sunday.

“We are thrilled to invite Swifties to celebrate TS12 together in a vibrant, communal setting,” Cinemark President and CEO Sean Gamble said in the statement.

Tickets are on sale at cinemark.com, on the Cinemark app and at Cinemark theater box offices for $12, plus applicable taxes and fees.
