Taylor Swift will soon be clearing up her reputation in the It Ends With Us legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
On Thursday, September 11, the 41-year-old Jane the Virgin alum’s legal team revealed the pop star, 35, has “agreed to appear” for a deposition but is “unable to do so before October 20,” due to “preexisting professional obligations,” according to Us Weekly.
Per court documents obtained by the outlet, the singer-songwriter will be deposed between October 20 and 25 — a few weeks after the release of her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.

Baldoni’s legal team originally sent the 14-time Grammy Award winner a subpoena in May, but they withdrew it later that month, according to Variety.
Prior to the subpoena being dropped, a spokesperson for Swift addressed her involvement, or lack thereof.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the representative shared per Variety.
Baldoni previously claimed that Swift was present for a meeting at the 38-year-old Gossip Girl star’s penthouse in NYC regarding the film, per Page Six. He also alleged Lively called the “All Too Well” hitmaker one of her “dragons,” referencing Game of Thrones, in a text message.
