Taylor Swift stayed over at Marcus Mumford’s UK home, he told The Sunday Times.
The Mumford & Sons frontman described the pop megastar as a “great house guest” in an interview with The Sunday Times.
Taylor, 36, visited Marcus, 39, at his country house during Covid, he explained, ahead of making her 2020 album, evermore.
“Taylor came to my studio, played me some music and asked if I wanted to sing on anything,” Marcus told the outlet.
“I chose Cowboy Like Me. Man, I love that song.”
Asked whether Taylor, given her megastar status, attended the property accompanied by a security team and sniffer dogs, Marcus was quick to declare her a “great house guest”.
“Ha, no, none of that,” he said. “She stayed over and was a great house guest. Straightforward, easy-going. She ate my cauliflower salad which, to be fair, is excellent. And, no, she didn’t ask someone to taste it first!”
Elsewhere in the interview, Marcus, who shares three children with actress wife Carey Mulligan, 40, declared he and the other band members would rather quit altogether than play only their old material decades after release.
“No, f**k that,” he said. “We’re happy to play the old songs but we have to keep moving, to keep connecting with our fans, with new music.”
