The wait for Taylor Swift to drop photos from her wedding to Travis Kelce is on. But in the meantime, guests are revealing what it was like to be in the room where it happened.
The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, with Adam Sandler officiating. Swift’s brother, Austin, served as man of honor, and Kelce’s brother, Jason, was his best man. The bride and groom wore looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, with shoes by Christian Louboutin. Swift also wore Cartier jewelry.
Donna Kelce, mother of Travis and Jason, gave a concise reaction to the wedding while speaking with Macy’s at the company’s Fourth of July event in New York. “I really can’t say a heck of a lot, except it was magical, man! Magical,” she said in a video shared on the company’s Instagram account.

Some other stars who attended have shared a few details about the biggest celebrity wedding in years. A common refrain was that the ceremony felt surprisingly intimate, despite taking place in Madison Square Garden with A-list guests ranging from Brad Pitt to Emma Stone.
Joseph Kahn, a filmmaker who has directed a number of music videos for Swift, said on Instagram that the wedding “was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate.”
On “Good Morning America,” Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan used the same word. “It really was intimate, wasn’t it, guys?” Roberts said, and Stephanopoulos agreed it was as “intimate as it could possibly be, given it was Madison Square Garden.”
Stephanopoulos described how it looked like there was a “garden inside the Garden,” which was “so beautiful,” and revealed the bride and groom read the vows they wrote for each other from “little books.” Roberts, meanwhile, confirmed Stevie Nicks performed.
AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron, who Swift worked with for the release of her “Eras Tour” concert film, got surprisingly descriptive about the ceremony in an X post that he later deleted. Aron described how it “did not look like Madison Square Garden” inside the arena, noting that “immediately upon entry, everything … floors, walls, ceiling … was draped in peach and white,” and “large blown up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display.”
From there, a “small portion of MSG was cordoned off,” and an “outdoor garden” scene was created, with real flowers and artificial trees, Aron wrote. “After some relaxing and mellow romantic songs played to settle the house, a few violins and cello ushered in the wedding party. Headlined by handsome Travis in a white tux, and a jaw-dropping Taylor in a stunning white wedding dress with a long veiled train.” The vows, he recounted, were “long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing.”
Other famous guests kept details close to the vest, but described it as a magical evening. Niecy Nash-Betts wrote on Instagram that the “love in the room was palpable” and that “from beginning to end no detail was spared,” while Kelsea Ballerini called it the “most beautiful wedding” and said she’s “still crying and dancing.”
Maren Morris also took to Instagram to share a look at the embroidered handkerchiefs that guests were given as a wedding favor: Along with a crest of two letter Ts joined together, the linens included the date and location of the wedding and a lyric from Swift’s song “Blank Space”: “So it’s gonna be forever….” Kelce has named this as his favorite of Swift’s songs.
