Taylor Swift’s ‘New Heights’ Podcast Appearance Will Make History With This Many Views

Taylor Swift’s week is already off to a massive start, and it could end with a little bit of history. Swift announced her 12th album on Tuesday, giving fans a look at the title of what’s sure to become a chart-topping record – “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Swift also made a special announcement ahead of the upcoming NFL season. The Grammy winner will be a special guest on the “New Heights” podcast, joining her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, as well as his brother Jason.

The Kelce brothers have become household names around the world since Travis began his relationship with Taylor, and the brothers are well on their way to fame and fortune in life after football.

Despite the doors that the relationship has opened, the main focus for Travis this year is football. He’ll have Swift on the podcast this week, but he’s getting set for his 13th year in the NFL. The Chiefs weren’t able to win a third-straight Super Bowl, but Swift’s appearance could be a championship moment for “New Heights.”

The current record for the most views on a podcast is held by Thmanyah, a Saudi Arabian show with 144 million views. The “New Heights” episode with Swifts aims to surpass that number with the biggest guest they could get.

Swift and Kelce have been together since 2023, and he’s been frequently seen at Chiefs games both on and off the road. She supported him at each of the last two Super Bowls, boarding a flight from the other side of the world to make it to Las Vegas in time two seasons ago.

The podcast is the genesis for their relationship, as Kelce publicly discussed Swift and her Eras Tour on the show back in the summer of 2023 – before her first appearance at a game in Kansas City.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” Kelce said on the podcast episode.

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I had received a bunch of them, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift [a friendship bracelet] with my number on it.”

The couple has moved from friendship bracelets to podcast appearances and album announcements. We’ll see how things progress as Kelce and Swift continue their time together.
