If you’re Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, you can probably do whatever you want for your wedding. Both because you can afford it and also because you’re celebrities and you can probably get away with the weirdest things. And the one surprise that Swift is planning for her wedding? Well, it won’t cost her anything. Or, it won’t cost her money.
Hollywood insider Rob Shuter is saying Swift herself will perform during her wedding celebration. “Taylor isn’t planning a traditional wedding,” a source told Naughty But Nice. “She’s creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience. People close to her fully expect some kind of musical moment.”

Swift recently visited New York City’s Electric Lady Studios, with friends Alana Haim and Benny Blanco also seen at the studio, which has fueled speculation that wedding rehearsals might be going on.
“Nobody believes Taylor was sitting in a recording studio for no reason,” another insider said. “The expectation among her inner circle is that she’s preparing something special for the wedding weekend.”
But wouldn’t performing take away from the enjoyment of the day? “Taylor loves surprises, and she loves creating unforgettable moments,” a source added. “Performing for the people she loves on one of the biggest nights of her life would be completely on brand for her.”
This comes after TMZ reported that Swift had commissioned a massive stage for her wedding event at Madison Square Garden. The stage is reportedly being built at a Pennsylvania production facility where bands often rehearse before going on tour. The outlet reported a “massive stage” is being built “under lock and key with security guards patrolling the area” and that it’s not affiliated with any present or upcoming music tour.
According to the outlet there will indeed be a band at the celebration, but some of the guests will be invited to take the stage. The perks of having a lot of talented musicians as friends.
But the wedding will reportedly not take place at Madison Square Garden. TMZ is also reporting the couple will actually tie the knot before July 3, on a much smaller ceremony and then have a grand celebration at MSG.
According to Star the couple has really been focused on the security concerns that come with such a big celebration. “It’s a shame security has become such a big deal,” a source explained. “But it is what it is, and Travis and Taylor are grateful they can cover the expense.” And anyone who’s been invited has reportedly signed an NDA, and the source says info is given on a “need-to-know” basis.
“I can’t wait,” Kelce said on the May 6 episode of his New Heights podcast while discussing the upcoming wedding. And a source said the exact same thing, “As frantic as it’s been, Travis and Taylor are focused on enjoying the experience and remembering what the day is really all about — celebrating the rest of their lives together.”
