Tee Grizzley’s loyalty remains with the 6 God, as the Detroit rapper has named Drake as not only his favorite artist, but the best artist of all time.
The “Forever My Moment” rhymer, 31, shared his pick during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream Monday (Sept. 8), when he was asked about his favorite artist of all time.
“I’m not even about to sit here and cap! Drake!” he told the chat, with Cenat following up with a question regarding the “best” artist of all time, not just Grizzley’s favorite. The rephrasing made no difference to the “IDGAF” rapper, as his answer remained the 38-year-old “What Did I Miss?” artist. See the stream snippet below.
It’s fair to say host Kai Cenat doesn’t agree, as days prior, he described listening to tracks released via teasers for Drake’s upcoming ICEMAN project as a “waste” of his time.
“I can’t fake it. That was so a**. Biggest waste of my f**kin’ time… I can’t fake it, that was a**,” Cenat declared.
Despite how Cenat feels and a general shift in attitudes following Kendrick Lamar besting him during their 2024 rap feud, Drake remains the single most influential artist of his generation. Artists directly influenced by the Toronto native stylistically include Bryson Tiller, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Swae Lee, Travis Scott, Rod Wave, Latto, and several others.
