Tepper Sports & Entertainment plans to “build an indoor music and events center at Bank of America Stadium on land near the stadium’s North Gate.” The 4,400-seat venue will be “housed in an 89,000-square-foot building that will occupy the lawn space outside the stadium now used for the Champions Village pregame hospitality tent area.” Construction is “expected to begin 2027, with the venue opening in 2030.” The building will “require an adjustment to the ground lease between the city and Tepper Sports,” a consideration to be “voted on Oct. 13 by the full council.” The music center, on a 2-acre site, will be “entirely funded by Tepper Sports, meaning no taxpayer money will pay for the project.” No cost estimate for the music building has been disclosed.
