Infinity Song Announces New Self-Titled Album

Sharing their first release since their 2021 debut album Flourish, Bristol duo The Actions are back, stronger, and more direct with single and music video “Take More”.

Where their earlier work leaned into shadowy textures and cinematic space, the time since has pushed The Actions towards something leaner and more confrontational. The haze has lifted. In its place sits a tougher, more attitude-led sound that blends their electronic foundations with a sharper, almost punk-like directness. “Take More” feels restless and wired, carries that energy, pairing brooding tension with a driving momentum that suggests a band no longer holding back.

“After our last, more transcendent record, we felt the urge to return with something stronger and more direct, and though it took time to get there, we knew this was the right moment to come back.”

Silty and Mo, who share vocal, guitar, and bass duties alongside electronics, have always explored the space between rock and electronic music. This time, the edges feel sharper. The mood is still intense, but there is less distance. The emotion lands harder.

“Take More is a song about growing up in the suburbs. It captures nights spent twisting your mind over the future, caught between staying with the people you love and the need to escape, struggling to find anything that breaks the loop.”

The single arrives as a three-track release, featuring the original version, a stripped-back Flatland Mix, and a remix from IKO Twins. Each version opens up a different side of the song’s tension, from stark and spacious to more rhythmically driven.

The accompanying video unfolds in a wide, dust-blown landscape that feels both empty and charged. A group of young adults move through the space, fighting, dancing, drifting and looking for something to break the monotony.
The video reflects the alienation of the suburbs, a generation of young people growing up feeling burned out, with few prospects or fresh inputs from outside, gathering in the same place every day because there’s nowhere else to go. It explores how they try to cope with that lack of direction through moments of hedonism, searching for distraction to temporarily numb the sense of isolation and wasted time, while still holding onto a deep connection to their roots and to each other echoing the song’s themes of isolation and frustration, capturing that strange mix of boredom and intensity that can define suburban youth.

Speaking on the video Mo said: “I’m a visual designer and video producer (MStar Design), so I have access to a wide range of licensed footage from different filmmakers. I developed the video concept based on the lyrics and mood of the song, sourced the appropriate material, and then edited it.”

The Actions previously earned praise from Clash Magazine and airplay from BBC Radio 6 Music, building a following for their dark, immersive sound. “Take More” feels like the next step. It keeps the weight and atmosphere they are known for, but brings it closer to the surface.

Only the beginning for The Actions, more music is promised for 2026…
