The official Twitter/X of The Beginning After the End TV anime series has announced that Japanese idol group 22/7 will perform the upcoming second season’s main ending theme. Season two of the series is expected to premiere in Japan in April 2026.

Additionally, the latest character designs for three characters in the series have also been released, showcasing Feyrith (voiced by Shinnosuke Tokudome), Tessia (voiced by Kana Ichinose), and Vio (voiced by Moe Nagamuta).
Keitaro Motonaga (Date A Live Seasons 1-3, Katanagatari) is directing the second season, with Takamitsu Kono (Utawarerumono: The False Faces, A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special) as series composer, Masami Sueoka (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human) as character designer, and Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as music composer. Studio A-CAT is in charge of the animation production, with Slow Curve credited with the general production.

The original web novel was first published by Tapas on January 18, 2017. Fuyuki23 provided the illustrations for the webtoon comic adaptation, which was first serialized on Tapas’ website on July 7, 2018. Nine print volumes of the webtoon have been released as of November 2025, with a 10th volume that will be published on February 24, 2026. Yen Press releases the webtoon comic in English print, while Tapas publishes the series digitally.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season in select countries and territories worldwide and will exclusively stream the second season. It describes the main premise of the first season as:
