The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Music & Event Management, Inc. (MEMI) have revealed new details for The Farmer Music Center, a highly anticipated, state-of-the-art music and entertainment venue set to open in Spring 2027 along Cincinnati’s Ohio Riverfront.
The latest update includes newly released venue renderings, official branding, fan experience information, and economic impact projections, offering the public its clearest look yet at what is poised to become one of the region’s premier live entertainment destinations. The venue will be located off Interstate 275, adjacent to Riverbend Music Center, continuing the area’s long-standing tradition of hosting major concerts and events.
Newly unveiled visuals highlight the amphitheater’s bold vertical design, which organizers say is intended to improve sightlines, acoustics, and overall audience connection. Alongside the renderings, CSO and MEMI introduced The Farmer Music Center’s official logos, launched a dedicated website, and activated social media channels as construction progresses.
Over the next year, fans will be able to follow the venue’s development through behind-the-scenes updates, construction milestones, and progress photos shared across digital platforms.
Designed with both fans and artists in mind, The Farmer Music Center aims to reimagine the concert-going experience through a layout that balances scale with intimacy. The venue will accommodate up to 20,000 guests, featuring 8,000 reserved seats and a 12,000-capacity general admission synthetic lawn. Covered seating and open-air viewing options are designed to provide flexibility for different types of live events and audience preferences.
More than 300,000 square feet of concourse and club space will be spread across three levels, offering ample room for gathering, dining, and socializing. Plans include 25 full-service bars and concession stands, along with multiple grab-and-go kiosks intended to reduce wait times. Premium offerings will include four distinct club spaces and two levels of box suites, providing elevated amenities and comfort for fans seeking a high-end concert experience.
“This is a meaningful step forward for the project and for the future of live music in Southwest Ohio,” Robert McGrath, President and CEO of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, said in a press release. “These updates give the community its clearest view yet of what will be the most innovative venue design in the region, one built to put artists and audiences at the center of every performance, while strengthening our ongoing commitment to the region’s cultural and economic vitality.”
The Farmer Music Center is named in recognition of a $60 million gift from the Farmer Family Foundation, representing one of the largest philanthropic investments in the arts in Cincinnati’s history.
Beyond its role as a live entertainment venue, The Farmer Music Center is projected to deliver significant economic benefits to the region. According to organizers, the venue is expected to generate more than $100 million in annual economic impact, contribute approximately $7 million in state tax revenue, and create $15 million in new city tax revenue over the next decade. A projected 30% increase in total live events and an additional 150,000 attendees annually are expected to further boost tourism, hospitality, and local business activity throughout Southwest Ohio.
“A venue like this does more than bring great music to Cincinnati—it creates real momentum for the city,” said Mike Smith, CEO of MEMI. “From hotel stays and restaurant traffic to seasonal jobs, the economic ripple effect reaches far beyond the gates.”
CSO and MEMI operate under a unique funding model in which all net revenues generated by MEMI are reinvested into the community through CSO education initiatives, neighborhood concerts, and diverse orchestral programming. Organizers say the model strengthens the orchestra’s long-term sustainability while expanding access to live music across the region.
Additional project details are expected to be shared later this year, with a formal press conference planned as construction continues.
The Farmer Music Center is scheduled to open in Spring 2027.
