With the latest season of “The Great Food Truck Race” hosted by celebrity chef Tyler Florence underway, it’s time for the premiere of the episode filmed in Wilmington — tonight (Aug. 17).
The Food Network show pits food truck teams from across the country against each other as they compete for a $50,000 prize.
For Season 18, the nine teams travel along the South Atlantic coast. Filming started earlier this year in Savannah, Georgia, before continuing on to Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Darlington in South Carolina. Then they came to Wilmington in March. After leaving the Carolinas, the remaining teams traveled north to Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
