Speaking of George, who is Kate and William’s eldest child, the Mail’s diary editor Richard Eden said: “With the former Prince Andrew banished from royal life and Prince Harry and Meghan across the Atlantic in America, there’s increasingly space for a new member of the Royal Family to come forward. What we are seeing now is a new royal in training, Prince George.”
He then, speaking of his recent appearance alongside his doting mum, added: “At the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, we saw his mother, Catherine, gently leading the way and really showing how Prince George could handle public engagements in the future.
“It’s an event of remembrance, and it’s one which is very close to hearts of the Royal Family, also one which Prince George is very interested in. It’s not the first type of event that he’s been to.”
Discussing another event earlier this year, he added: “We saw him earlier this year meeting veterans at Buckingham Palace when there was a tea party to celebrate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.”
Speaking of how “engaged” George appeared at the event, he added: “Even though he is very young, he managed to have conversations with these veterans and you could see he was taking a real interest.”
He then shared how Kate and William are “carefully introducing” their son, who is second in line to the throne, into royal life.
Mr Eden then said that he feels that we will continue to see George “at a lot more of these types of events”.
